March must be the time for us to visit DC. Just last year the kids and I took an impromptu trip with my best buddy and saw DC at Night . This year hubby and I had a wonderful gift of the opportunity for a weekend as a couple in my favorite city. Hope you enjoy. Compare the cell-phone pics of last year with this year's...it is the same difference that can be seen between the haze I was in emotionally during the deployment and the brightness that is our time now. What a wonderful way to experience DC.

Oh these are beautiful! So glad you were able to have a get away. The color is spectacular.
I've never been there before, day or night. Great pictures!
One of my volleyball players is a Republican page in DC this semester and I'll be visiting her in a few weeks. The kids will get to see congress in session - should be a good learning experience. I loved living in DC just because of the history and sites.
Great pics!
Amazing pictures. I left comments on your FB. I never stop being moved. And...it appears that May is a go barring any sudden jobs.
So beautiful! I haven't been to DC yet. I'm over here on the opposite end of our country. It's wonderful you could enjoy the stay, in a way to capture these photos. Photography does express emotion.
btw, I wanted to drop by to thank you for the honor of having a place on your blogroll. I'm celebrating my 100th post at FB, and I'm thinking of you.:) Hope you're doing well right now.
Thanks, y'all. Joyce, I loved reading about your trip to the B&B...this was sort of like that for us, minus the fun surprise!
Wendy and Bonnie, if you ever get the chance, it's a wonderful experience. I think that's a downside of having such a "great" (large) nation...it's hard for many people to travel to see these places.
Annie, that's great! I always envied the pages when we would do fieldtrips to DC and visit Congress. I hope she has a great semester. Enjoy your trip! :)
Dani, fingers crossed for May!
These are some BEAUTIFUL pictures!! That first one with the flags could be a postcard! :)
